In order to encourage Fall to arrive, I'm spreading the news far and wide about Autumn color. There is lots to look forward to for fall color...I promise.
Today's color is from early mums.

I'd buy Phyllis. Such promise of bloom she offers.
I am very bad - I have zero fall color in my garden - and only one grass - (I need more grasses)
Beautiful pictures! I love your posts that have tons of pictures! You have gorgeous flowers!
Wow those mums are huge!!! We haven't gotten any mums yet maybe this weekend :)Great photos!
Lovely mums! After the cool front comes through this weekend, it just might be cool enough for a pot of mums. Hope so! I prefer the yellow ones.
These are gorgeous! I have a few mums that are budding. I lost many in the April hard freeze. You have inspired me to go get a few mums. Maybe one for the kitchen table and a few for the deck and porch...
Mum time..Maybe I will pick up some apples too.
Thanks!
Sherry
I've had some of these before - they are all lovely - and definitely a sign of fall!
Gorgeous flowers! I don't know how you have so many beauties in one yard!
Well, you only have to wait one more day and then it will be officially Fall. ;-)
Lovely Mums though, they cheer up any garden or living room!
I love your mums and am totally envious since I can't grow them here. Asters have to do in their place. Your plants are filled with blooms. They are really attractive.
Those are very beautiful pictures. They can make anyone feel ready for the fall season.
Oh, I really wish I could be among all these mums. They look great. Hope you have a good weekend.

Beautiful, but to us downunder the 'mum is a flower associated with mum's day in may (autumn for us).
It is the traditional mother's day flower either in a bunch or a decorated flowerpot.
Your mums are exquisite! Wish we had thought of planting some. Sara and I are putting our garden to bed, here on Canada’s mild West Coast. We’re actually on an island, Gabriola, located in the Georgia Strait, between Vancouver Island and the mainland.
Do you use any fertilizer for your flowers? We decided to stick to 100% organic plant foods and found a wonderful Canadian company that makes Iguana Juice, Grow and Bloom. It’s a fish based fertilizer, made up of alfalfa extract, earthworm castings, kelp, and other goodies.
Please visit our blog, where you can read all about our gardening adventures, as well as the shenanigans of our two children. Hedgehog, age eleven, is a home-schooled tomboy, whereas Jim, age nine, decided to go to school this fall.
Thanks for your lovely blog,
Tim and Sara
No posts since September? I hope you are in good health; we miss your inspiration. You SHOULD add gottagarden.blogspot.com to your reference list of garden blogs, and you can check my daylilies and hostas at todaylily.blogspot.com too- I assume you belong to Delaware Valley Daylily Society and Delaware Valley Hosta Society ( DVHS.ORG ) since both can make you a better buyer and grower. But we can't belong to every group or we'd have no time to blog! Terry Oates, member of both clubs
Very nice blog! Beautiful flowers :)
